Self control is overrated. These addicting sweet and crunchy sesame and sugar glazed walnuts give you a rush of pleasure from the very first bite, making it very hard to stop eating them once you start.
A delicious Christmas treat can be crafted from just three steps and four ingredients. Have fun and enjoy!
- 200g walnuts
- 200g sugar
- ½ cup roasted sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoon water
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Spread walnuts on a roasting tray. Cook for approximately 7-8 minutes or until walnuts are nicely roasted.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. It will turn to a clear liquid then crystallized and eventually becomes the golden brown syrup.
- Toss the walnuts and sesame seeds into the sugar syrup. Stir and coat the walnuts quickly. Transfer the walnuts to the baking paper and separate them to prevent excessive sticking.
